Please meet us for a meet and greet before the big day.  (See below).

It was a late warm summer evening of Septemeber 2, 2015 at La Piscena, a canal side restaurant in Venice, Italy.  Linda and I had just left the hotel for a leisurely stroll before dinner.  I casually suggested that we stop at La Piscena for a glass of wine before dinner.  Unknown to her, I had been planning that day with the hotel staff to propose to her there that night.

The hotel staff suggested the location, and had ordered the roses and champagne to be brought out after she hopefully acepted.  I was anxious because I had been carrying the enagement ring across Europe for the last two weeks, waiting for this opportunity.

Shortly after we sat down, I signaled the waiter that I was ready.  She could tell I was nervous, I went down on one knee and asked her to marry me.  She accepted and the people at nearby tables celebrated with us.

It was a magical evening in one of the world's most romantic cities and we will always remember it.  We had just come off a ten day cruise which we had won in a drawing earlier that year.

The cruise started in Athens went to the Greek Islands, Croatia, Montenegro and final stop Venice.  After Venice we went to Rome, Malta then to London, England to see Linda's family and share the wonderful news.

We had met the fall of 2014 on a dating website and have enjoyed being together ever since.  I have adopted her passion for English football (soccer), tea and chocolate.  We both have a love of travel, going to concerts, dining out and the warm desert climate.  In June 2015, we went to Vancouver, Canada for the Women's FIFA World Cup and got to see England play Canada and the US Women win the World Cup.  It was a great thrill.

Linda was bon in South London, England.   She is the youngest of six children in her family.  Her brothers instilled in her a great love and dedication to English football and the Chelsea Football Team.  She moved to the United States in 1986 and was later divorced.

Emma, her daughter 29 was born in Baltimore, MD and lives in Phoenix, AZ and Mark her son 27 was born in California and lives in San Diego.  Emma will be married and will have a beautiful wedding on a marina in a resort in San Diego just ten days before ours, on June 10.  Linda has a cute little dog called Chelsea.

I was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the oldest of five children.  I am a Viking fan and trying to teach Linda about my sport and the rules of the NFL.  In 1982 my wife Catherine and I relocated to Virginia for my job and Elizabeth (Liz) our daughter was born there in 1989.  We relocated once again to California and sadly my wife passed away after a very long illness.  Liz moved back to Minnesota where the rest of my family still live and I stayed in California, where I would eventually meet Linda.

We are excited about the next adventures in our lives together, our wedding and for our honeymoon on another amazing cruise around the Mediterranean.  We are so happy that you could visit our website and share our story with us.  We look forward to seeing our families and friend in June in Temecula.

Thank you to all of you.

With our love,

Linda, Jim and Miss Chelsea
