Welcome
Welcome

Jerry and I met at Paladino's in the San Fernando Valley. We were there to see The Atomic Punks (a Van Halen cover band). He ended up sitting next to me and eventually started up a conversation. He actually was there with a friend of his who was a client of the law firm I worked at at the time! So we hung out all night, but he didn't ask for my number, but I knew his friend knew where I worked and, if he was really interested, he would figure out a way to get ahold of me...which he did...and about a week later, we had our first date. I went to his house to watch a football game, which I knew was a test to see if I was just saying I liked sports. I think it was a safety or something that happened during the game, and when I actually knew what I was talking about, I think that's what hooked him. I actually was hooked the first night when I saw how fun he was but yet serious and loving when he talked about his girls.

Jerry proposed to me in Laughlin.  We were float-tubing on the Colorado River, and he attached a ring (not the real one) to his fishing line with a bobber on it and casted it near me while I wasn't looking.  He asked me to get the bobber for him so he could put it in his tackle box.  I was a little suspicious, because I knew he doesn't use bobbers, but I thought maybe he wanted it for the girls, so I started to paddle over to it.  It kept floating away from me, and he was quite amused at how I had to work for it.

So I finally catch up to it, and I pull the bobber out of the water, and there's some line attached, so I keep pulling it up, and there's this shiny ring attached, and he yells across the river, "You wanna marry me?"  I yelled back, "Yes."

Here's where there are two versions to the story:  He says he said, "If not, I'll just cut bait."  I don't remember it that way, so either I was still in shock, or he just likes to act macho when telling the story.  You decide which version you believe.

Our wedding will take place on October 8, 2011 at Laughlin Ranch Golf Club, which is just on the Arizona side of the river from Laughlin, Nevada. We chose this location because this is where we got engaged, and we also love Laughlin.  We hope our guests will come to not only share in our special day but also to have a chance to get away and soak up the sun by the pool, do a little gambling, and spend some time on the river boating, jetskiing, or fishing.

Our reception will immediately follow the ceremony, and we are looking forward to good food and music and lots of dancing.

We have reserved a block of rooms at discounted rates at the Aquarius, (800) 662-5825. Reference Group Code C-ATW11 when booking.

For anyone interested in golfing at Laughlin Ranch Golf Club, they are providing discounts to our guests. Call (866) 684-4653 and advise them or our names and wedding date to get the discount.

Since Jerry and I already have a home and most of the things we need that go along with it, we did not register for the traditional items.  We really would love to go on a memorable honeymoon to Australia.  Jerry wants to fish the Great Barrier Reef, and I have always wanted to go to Australia.  We hope you will enjoy being able to contribute to this experience that we both are so looking forward to.  Please click on the "Our Registry" tab above to access our honeymoon registry.

Alternatively, home improvement gifts would also be greatly appreciated.

Jerry and I would both like to thank our family and friends for always being there for us.  We've both been through a lot to finally find each other and get to where we are today, and we are truly blessed to have each and every one of you in our lives for support and guidance.  We are looking forward to sharing not only this day with you but also whatever is to come in the future.
